What was the last book that made you cry?





I can only remember one back that has gotten me all teary-eyed and it's Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl.  It's more than just his memories and experiences about the Holocaust that got me, but also his ideologies and thoughts during and the aftermath that resulted in his work on Logotherapy. The book has changed my way of thinking in so many ways I can't possibly string enough words to describe how important this book is to me.

    Wow that's a tough read. My heart feels so heavy whenever I read a holocaust based book that the tears get stuck somewhere and it just hurts all over.
    I have this on my TBR pile. Thanks for the tissue alert!

      Oh it definitely is! Whenever he talks about his wife, i'd literally burst into tears reading! I hope you enjoy reading it too and thanks for stopping by~

    Sounds like a fascinating read! Holocaust novels are always terribly tragic and heartbreaking!

      I absolutely love these kind of books, though it does take a lot of emotional toll. I don't normally cry when reading but some books just drive you like that. Thanks for stopping by!

      Thank you so much! It was gifted to me by a friend who saw what I really need. We've fallen out of contact now but I still quietly thank him for the gesture. Books can literally change people's lives.

      Thank you so much! And I'm not sure about tragic, really, he conquered so many things and survived. I'd say it's a great story about victory in the general sense, but it is indeed powerful :)
